Review: Bihada Ichizoku Face Mask

I've read so many great feedbacks about the 'Bihada Ichizoku Face Mask' and so I decided to try it myself!  I was so excited since I haven't been pampering myself for the last few decades!!!

So far, I tried the pink & the blue mask.

The Pink mask contains moisture ingredients that somehow also has a brightening effect.  It contains White Birch Root Essence, Alpha-Albution, and Saxifraga Stolonifera extract for instant elasticity repairment to fight the vital signs of aging.

The blue mask is perfect for dry skin, this mask contains moisture ingredients such as Cactus extract and Trehalose for instant elasticity repairment to fight the vital signs of aging.

Beware of fakes! Make sure that the writings/labels are in Japanese!

THE MASK:
reallly moist & wet
the mask does not tear
the mask itself is very soft & smooth
no fragrance
no sting
no itchiness
it feels cool on the skin
very refreshing

The mask contains 27ml of essence, you can massage the remaining essence on your face after applying the mask but I personally prefer to apply the extra essence along with the mask.

THE RESULTS:
I noticed that my skin instantly became brighter, smoother, more dewy, even & soft!
It looked like I spent a whole day at the spa or spent the whole day sleeping since my skin looked very refreshed!

I love this mask!  It's worth every penny!

Please share if you know of any other great masks out there! ♥

La Senza: Prettiest Designs of Brassiers!

Calling all lingeristas!  Check out La Senza in Eastwood Mall -- they offer the widest variety of brassiers!!!  They have so many designs, it's overwhelming!

I started to love undergarments when I started liking old classic films.  All the brassiers & corsets were so feminine!  All the girls in the old films seem so glamorous!  They all wore lovely corsets under their gorgeous dresses.  It seemed like wearing undergarments is not just part of a regular daily outfit...but instead, it seemed more special & it reflected each person's character.

To me, as long as my undergarments are nice, it doesn't matter if I'm wearing only shorts & an old shirt because pretty undergarments make me feel confident...

I always enjoy shopping at La Senza because of their designs!  I find Maidenform most comfortable...but the eyecandies in La Senza are very hard to resist!

Check out these cute designs:

They also have the prettiest corsets & sleepwear!

Hong Kong Haul

Hong Kong is still the ultimate SHOPPING PARADISE!!!

I've always loved girly-girl stuff and Hong Kong is the best place that carries all the ultra-girly designs from Korea, Japan, & Bangkok.  Not to mention, the super-friendly prices they offer! One of my favorite stops is in Granville.

I love how all their clothes fit me!  They usually carry one size only & it is always my size! Yey!

Most of the shoes are HKD199 below & are always up to date with the latest fashion.  You'll find everything there -- clothes, shoes, accessories, bags, beauty products...it's all there in Granville.

Aside from the great buys, it's always a delight to have an 'ice cold milk tea' available in almost every corner.  This is my favorite drink in the whole world!!!

Don't forget to grab the yummiest egg tart at 'Pie & Tart Specialist' at the end of your shopping trip located at the corner of Cameron Road & Chatham Road.

♥ Here are some of my great finds ♥

My favorites are the hat from 'Cotton On' & the bohemian-inspired belt from 'Cutie Little Fun'

The blue thingy inside the plastic is like a velcro patch that keeps your hair away from your face whenever you wash or apply make up, it works just great!  I first saw this item in Youtube

'Mel & Joey' tv show featuring my dogs

I got a text message from Ms. Pia from GMA of Channel 7 last week , she asked if they could feature our dogs in their show as the 'most pampered pets in town'.  After informing my mom about it, I immediately said 'yes'.  The shooting was held last May 7 & will air on May 15.

The taping was held for almost 6 hours & all of our babies were so well-behaved! The crew was so friendly & nice to all our furkids.  It was a fun day for us all!

Here are some photos below:

Style Tip: How To Make Your 'Jeremy Scott' bag into an 'everyday bag'

The Jeremy Scott bags are gorgeous, no doubt about that!
They are great to collect because they only have a limited number of bags released per design & they have new designs every season which means it is very rare to bump into someone carrying the same bag as you because this bag is indeed very special, rare, & not to mention priced higher than the usual Longchamp Le Pliage travel bag!

However, due to its size, many Longchamp collectors are having second thoughts on this bag due to its size.  Yes, this bag is HUGE.  All Jeremy Scott bags are! The size of these bags are 17.75x14x9 inches same as the le pliage large short handle. This could stop other Longchamp lovers from purchasing the bag no matter how much they love the design unless you're into big bags like me. I carry so much stuff with me everyday I leave the house, I don't know why, it's like I'm always going on a trip. LoL!  :)

Nonetheless, there is a solution!

How To:
*Fold the sides of your JScott bag inwards after zipping it closed.
(You can also wear it unzipped so that whenever you're on the go, you don't have to pull out the sides & unzip it. See photo below for reference.)*

Have fun everyday!

Love,
H

Tory Burch Reva Ballet Flats

I just got these babies as a birthday present.  Well actually, I got an 'Ayala Malls EGC (Electronic Gift Certificate)' as a gift but I was actually thinking of choosing things that I needed like a camera bag & a new luggage, or a pair of sunglasses since I do not have one & its the middle of summer now & it's really really hot & sunny here in Manila.

After my usual LONG 'shopping debate',  I finally got convinced that I should pick something more special, something that I don't need but would love to have & appreciate.  They suggested a pair of Tory Burch Reva Ballet Flats which didn't even cross my mind before because I find them too expensive for a pair of flats.

So, there we were inside Tory Burch in Greenbelt 5.  It took me more about half an hour to try & feel the shoes, and another hour to decide on which color!  I have always been one of those 'super slow shopper' because I usually think about all the items I purchase, whether it be clothes, shoes, bags, perfume, or beauty products.   I always ask myself-- do I need it? Is it worth it? Is it a classic? How often can I use it? What are the ingredients in this product? And after deciding that I'll get something, it'll usually take me another half an hour or more to choose a color.  In this case, the distressed leather ballet flats in gold caught my attention but ended up choosing a classic color, the dark brown variant, as my first pair.

THE VERDICT:
1. The first day I wore them, it was complete torture.  Yes, it did make my outfit look a LOT better even if I was just wearing a pair of dark skinny jeans & a light yellow polo shirt.  It magically transformed my get up from 6 to 9!
But as much as it made my outfit dressed up, the pain & sacrifice was equally at the same level.  'Breaking in' these shoes are very uncomfortable.  After 1 1/2 hour, I couldn't bare the pain anymore & so I bought a pair of slippers.

2. The second time I wore it was 2 days after.  I had dinner with my family & went around the mall after.  I was worried that they would hurt my feet again but I knew I had to wear it again or else I wouldn't break it in.  Plus, it made my outfit look a lot better again & this time I was wearing a dress.  To my surprise, after about 45 minutes, my feet still didn't feel the slightest pain!  The shoes felt so light & soft.  The longer I wore it, the nicer & more comfortable it became!  It seems as if the leather became softer & that it molded as if it were made for my very own feet. :)

Would I recommend this?
If you're like me who loves wearing flats, my answer is 100% YES.

Why?
  • It's the most comfortable flats I've ever owned
  • It's a classic, the design seems to never go out of style
  • These flats can be worn with any outfit.  It can glam up any outfit but it can also be worn perfectly on toned-down & simple ensembles
  • The flats itself are simple but the big emblem logo makes it look very elegant & fashionable but not too flashy
  • It is true to it's size
  • You can wear it with anything
  • Easy to pack, it's very light & thin.  It's convenient for travel, it even fits my purse
  • Has many designs to choose from.  They have plain patent leather, distressed leather, leopard patent leather, suede, snake skin, satin, metallic, glitter & napa
  • You can collect them because they have new colors & styles every season
  • As for longevity, I think it lasts for a very long time because my friend has had her pair for 3 years & it still looks nice & new

I suggest to buy online as the collection here available in Manila is very limited.

Japanese Dessert

I was craving for sweets after delivering some bags from my online shop last night. But, at around 9:00pm, my options were limited as many shops close early here in Manila.  After a long 'mini...mini...MINIMO' moment, we finally decided on some 'MOCHI'.

We headed to Dezato Cafe in New Manila for some Japanese dessert.  This was just my second time having this dessert from Dezato & I didn't realize how much I love it after trying it again.
We got the 1-dozen of premium chocolate mochi in regular size which costs P395.  This also comes in bite size which is priced P220.
Mochi is a Japanese dessert that is made of rice.  It is traditionally made in a ceremeony mochitsuki which is a Japanese mochi pounding party.  It is also eaten year-round but is most commonly eaten during New Year which is also when the Motchutsuki is held.
Eating mochi dessert is a one of a kind experience.  The texture of mochi is heavenly!  If you haven't tried eating mochi before, you'll be surprised at first bite. There is no other dessert as SOFT & SMOOTH!  It's just so nice.
The second surprise is how flavorful the filling in the middle is as you bite deeper inside the rice cake which makes it perfect. The filling is so rich & creamy. Yum!
My favorite is the Mochi Balls filled with Belgian chocolate Truffle.

Dezato Cafe is located at 100 Hemady St. New Manila.  They also serve coffee, tea, pasta, pizza, milkshakes, sandwich, appetizers, soup & other desserts.
