Sneak Peek: Longchamp's Spring/Summer 2011 collection

Twice a year, Longchamp revamps its collection with new pieces to offer all of us, Longchamp lovers.  It was just a few months ago when Longchamp introduced the Fall/Winter 2010 collection with the LM Metal and the Le Pliage Badges collection.
Now, Longchamp is preparing for, yet again, another eye-catching collection!  Just earlier this October 2010, Longchamp had its Spring/Summer 2011 collection available for private preview at the Paris Fashion Week!
To all Le Pliage fanatics, just like me, here’s one of the few designs Longchamp is making available SOON…

The bag shown above is the Le Pliage Arbre de Vie, which means “Tree of Life”.  This design is a refreshing concept from the darker colors of the LM Metal and the Badges collection.  Just in time for the summer season here in the Philippines, the Le Pliage Arbre de Vie has the birds embroidered into the bag,  something that makes this edition just so feminine and adorable!  Plus, it’s always a delight to see the Le Pliage in white.  It just looks so refreshing!  The last white designs I remember were the Charles Anastase collection with the ballerina slippers and the Persian cats design.

Another design included in the Spring/Summer 2011 for Longchamp is its Darshan collection (photos to follow).  This collection features the same design as the Le Pliage, although I am not so sure if it can be folded.  There are two variants of the Darshan collection.  The first one has the same leather flap and leather strap as the Le Pliage, but the entire bag is filled with an abstract floral pattern in combination with white.   The second version of the Darshan collection still has the typical leather flap and leather straps, but the bag is made of transparent material.  Inside the bag is an interior pouch bearing the same abstract floral pattern as the first one.  This Darshan collection comes in two shades: red and yellow.  Definitely a must for Lonchamp collectors!

And what will a new season’s collection be without the infamous Jeremy Scott?

This season’s Jeremy Scott x Longchamp collaboration features the “Tire Tracks” theme, which has actually been carried over to Jeremy Scott’s collaboration with Adidas as well!  This design, according to Jeremy Scott, was strongly inspired by the streets of New York.  This Le Pliage Tire Tracks bag was featured in Jeremy Scott's New York Fashion Week fashion show in the middle of September 2010.

These arm candies are not yet available elsewhere, and only had one or two pieces produced freshly from the production line for preview purposes.  Guess we’ll have to spend our holidays this Christmas thinking about these new beauties!  Bags will be available early next year, most probably by late January.

NOTE: The Jeremy Scott Tire Tracks bag for Longchamp will be part of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection and NOT the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.  For more information, please visit http://www.longchampdemanille.com

Get to see these first at Longchamp de Manille!  We’ll be bringing these over to Manila shores as soon as possible!
